Fantastic food deals, comfy couches and a central location with enough space for quiet work sessions and reading. The staff are always super friendly as well, and the coffee is fantastic.
MoreGreat service and delicious stuff! 👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽
Went there 3 days in a row for coffee and a breakfast sandwich! Friendly staff, great coffee and a neat atmosphere- keep it up!!
MoreExcellent cafe right in Halifax. Quite a busy spot with such a cozy Canadian cabin feel. Cozy and excellent service. Great team they have
MoreLove this place, great varied drink menu, fresh baked goods, fun and cozy ambiance, great area to hang around
MoreThis was a great place to meet with friends before our run and after it. Great food and beverages. Love that I can have gluten free food that is a huge deal for me in coffee shops. Thank you
MoreGreat coffee shop. Amazing baked goods. The apple cinnamon rolls are by far the best anywhere!
MoreThis is my new favourite cafe in Halifax. The chairs are really comfy, the food is excellent (I had the beefeater, it was sliced roast beef with melted Swiss cheese and fried onions, on a bun with a side of potato chips and a slice of pickle). The coffee is great too.
MoreReally nice place inside to sit and friendly staff so i was excited to just grab a medium roast drip. It was no good tasted a day old and watered down, extremely weak! i was bummed, i may try again to see if it was just a bad brew.
MoreConvenient spot for a quick breakfast while I was here on business and staying at the hotel across the street. Would definitely go back!
MoreExcellent food, relaxing &cozy atmosphere. Close to boardwalk.
Cozy coffee place. Free WiFi and comfy couches and chairs
I really love the look and feel of the spot, and the coffee and food is good, however the low star rating their policy over lunch hours. You will be "asked to buy something else to eat or leave" as they are "getting busy". I opted to leave because as much as I understand that spaces need to be shared, especially during peak hours, this was an extremely poor experience. I suggest at least putting up some signage stipulating this policy or advising people who work remotely to not use the cafe.
MoreAbsolutely loved this place. The coffee was great, atmosphere cozy, and really friendly staff. I’ll definitely get my java fix at this place where when I’m downtown in the future.
MoreVery welcoming place with excellent coffee and food ..Enjoyed it ❤
Great little place. Delicious fresh baked goods, their chocolate chip muffins are to die for. Yummy home made hot chocolate as well! Great friendly staff and cozy environment
MoreGreat coffee house. Breakfast sandwich was good (although I would argue their English muffins are not English muffins). Their cinnamon rolls are excellent. Staff is very friendly. Lots of comfy chairs
MoreWhat a great way to start your day! The cozy chairs, free wifi and some yummy treats to enjoy with your cup.
MoreGood espresso and tasty banana bread.
Cute little cafe that is tucked away in downtown Halifax but you definitely feel like you've been transported to a wooden cabin in the woods with its decorative design. Staff are always friendly and the food and drinks are always delicious. Definitely a place to check out
MoreGreat selection of well priced food. Sandwiches are made fresh and come with a side of chips. Their coffee is really good and you don't pay as much as some other locations around. Nice atmosphere for grabbing a coffee and having a conversation. Recommend stopping in!
MoreNice location for small Breakfast or Lunch. Really good Coffee
Really great coffee! And offers gluten free bread and products.
Love the atmosphere and food! Coffee and price is great
Cozy and welcoming early in the morning before most of the city has woken up and is on the move - does get really busy after 10ish.Good coffee, cider and teas (even iced if you catch them without a crowd!). Delicious baked goods and oatmeal for breakfast, and clean restrooms.Tables are all a bit wobbly, so keep that in mind as you sit down with a hot drink in hand!
MoreVery nice little spot in a busy part of Halifax, but you can't tell once you're inside.I had their medium roast coffee and a macaroon. The coffee was decent but the macaroon was amazing. Perfectly chewy and definitely freshly made.
MoreFavorite quick breakfast sandwich place. Also love the decor and the relaxed, unpretentious vibe.
Morethe coffee is good but the homemade pastries and friendly staff are really where this place shines! Such lovely people and even better cinnamon buns!
MoreA great place to spend time with a morning coffee.
Super cool cabin aesthetic. Makes it feel cozy and warm even in not so great weather! I had the maple late and loved it even though I normally can't stand coffee. I'll definitely be coming back next time I'm in Halifax!
MoreThe chocolate was directly from the kind in grocery, and it spoiled...
Everything is affordable and tastes amazing! The staff is really nice and the coffee is amazing(obviously it's from Java Blend).
MoreReally nice atmosphere with comfy couches and decent prices. The pastries and baked goods always look fresh and taste great. I recommend the vegan macaroons.
MoreGreat cozy sofas, overall felt at home with their rustic feel and look. The atmosphere topped with aan assortment of lattes and warm and cold drinks with pastries and sandwiches makes me want to go back again.
MoreLove the prices love the quality of the food! Service was amazing! Lines were moving quickly so don't be turned away by the long line. Cinnamon buns were probably the best thing! Not too dense not too dry. Just a perfect mix of sweet and cinnamon! If I lived here I would be here everyday! This place has amazing lunch sandwiches and breakfast sandwiches!!
MoreThis cafe is charming with a decent selection of lunch items and pastries. Staff are always friendly and I like how they offer table service for sit-down orders. I find it a bit on the dirty side though. I get the rustic, cabin-like feel is there for ambience however the bathrooms are always filthy and the tables rarely get cleaned after guests leave.
MoreCame here for lunch this morning. Staff members very nice and welcoming. This cafe offers a very nice, relaxing ambiance. Lots of items on the menu. Try the Maple Latte, you will not regret!
MoreFamous cinnamon bun. Just the right sweetness. They got it perfect. Hot chocolate was great as well. They have a breakfast special bun all day. Very convenient location. Awesome light romantic music. Love seats all around. Great vibe. Perfect place for hangout.
MoreI never seem to remember to take pictures of the best stuff: the bagel BLT I got here this morning was AMAZING. The three ingredients looked just like out of a commercial they were so perfect; the maple latte was very good (but not GREAT), but the cranberry-blueberry muffin couldn’t have been better unless it had OxyContin baked into it. I wish I had been healthier so as to walk more mornings while here in Halifax because not only does Cabin Coffee have a comfy relaxing atmosphere that makes you want to stay, but they’ve got an enormous menu of breakfast/brunch food and treats to go along with a full board of drink options.A must for anyone visiting Halifax.
MoreExcellent coffee shop. Reasonable prices. Lots of comfy seating. Good wifi. Home baked goodies. Cozy setting. Excellent staff. Checks all the boxes. Just go.
MoreVery large but cozy cafe with extremely comfortable seating, great coffee (went back for second and third cup) and delicious homemade food. Prices are great too - $7.25 for homemade soup and sandwich, and oh my are the soups ever amazing!
MoreCozy spot to grab a coffee to stay or to go. Cinnamon buns are to die for.
Always good coffee and desserts;)Friendly staffs too!
Nice latte (somehow the temperature is much higher than usual, be careful not to be burnt!..) & freshly baked scone!
MoreCozy, friendly staff, and all day breakfast sandwich special and medium coffee for $4.30. Free wifi made it the perfect stop between downtown work meetings.
MoreI went on a nice quiet rainy day and was able to have a nice moment with a large freshly baked oatmeal chocolate chip cookie, a hot chocolate, and a breakfast bagel, all for $10! The cafe atmosphere is cozy, and there's a good mix of sofas, sofa chairs, and regular dining chairs to choose from. From past experience, it can be quite difficult to find a spot during the lunch rush, however that's the case for pretty much every good indie cafe in Halifax.
MoreVery nice cafe. The only gripe was dirty.
Love my coffee. That’s just in general. As I was roaming the city on my own for the day, I was in search for some local coffee places to try out. As you open the doors to Cabin Coffee, it’ll seem like you literary left the city and enter the cottage area in a snap of a second. The interior was very cottage-esq. It was cozy and the staff were friendly. The famous cinnamon bun was very tasty and that was the mini one! The coffee was average and nothing special. Come check out if you want a quick getaway and no need to travel far and out of the city. More like just a few steps away from the pier.
Morecozy spot with lots of baked goods, only wish they carried matcha!
This place was a 3 minute walk from our hotel (during our vacation in Halifax). Sweet coffee shop with a real calm vibe (which is what I want in a coffee shop, but is sometimes hard to find). They make the best breakfast buns EVER! (Egg mcmuffins) But these are so good!! And hot (off the stovetop) hot! We had one every day! They offer them all day, which is great. Loved their chicken soup that we tried for lunch one day. Didn't love the sandwich I tried, thought the bun was dry. But I would definitely try their other sandwiches.
